Carlos Corrales
was elected as the first “Presidente” of the whole island of Camiguin which
comprised of one municipality at that time. He was later elected delegate
to the First Philippine Assembly of 1907, representing a district of Misamis
Province. His nephew Manuel Corrales Jr. was also a delegate for Misamis.
In 1888, he was appointed Justice of the Peace of Mambajao in Camiguin;
later he served as a member of the municipal council for two terms. In
1900, Carlos Corrales y Garcia took active part in the Philippine Revolution
against the United States. |
